Our Seussical Unit!!!

We started into the most FABULOUS unit!! A unit that is all about Dr. Seuss and his books!! To say it's been a FUN unit wouldn't even do it justice!! We have had a truly wonderful time.

Audrey's Big Day!!

Happy Birthday to Audrey!!!
I forgot to take a picture of Audrey's special birthday frame that I made her for her special day...but here is the picture that I took to go inside of it!! Doesn't she look wonderfully cute and sassy!!
And here we are celebrating her big day!! Audrey brought cupcakes....and they were BEYOND delicious!! My dieting went completely out the window in honor of this special day (and the especially yummy treats!!).
Of course the kids are all lovin' the birthdays...and all the fun that comes with them!!
Who doesn't love to celebrate...and BE celebrated!!!

Happy Birthday Iris

Happy Birthday to Iris!!
Birthdays are so important that we had a blast making it a special day for Iris!!
We all helped make her a birthday banner...
enjoyed some delicious treats (courtesy of Iris)...
Iris got a special gift from me, Miss Jessica...
And the kids all got to give her a great big birthday hug!!!
It was so wonderful to have a day to celebrate Iris!!!

Dinosaur Field Trip

To complete our Dino Unit, we went to the Arizona Museum of Natural History. It was such a fun day!! We had made some "Junior Paleontologist" badges (that we wore as necklaces). And had a great time exploring all the fun things at the museum!!

The green screen was a total hit with the kids. They loved watching themselves disappear!!
It really was pretty cool!!

And of course we spent a lot of time waiting for the waterfall...but it was definitely worth it!!

We all had a great time...and maybe even learned a little something new about dinosaurs!!

Clay Dinos

We made some cute little dinosaurs out of clay. The next day, after they had dried, we added a little bit of color and suddenly out dinosaurs had truly come to life!! It was so cute watching the kids try to get their dinos JUST RIGHT!! At times I wasn't sure the dinos could take another coat of paint!!
But we added a little bit of grass, and they really came to life!! What a fun project!!

Dino Egg-cellent!!

This was DEFINITELY the kids most favorite dino activity!! I put these small dinos into balloons and then blew up the balloons. The kids and I all made a ROYAL MESS doing paper mache on our eggs!! Once they dried, we painted them greens, browns and blues to look like real eggs. The kids all couldn't wait to get home and CRACK their eggs to get the dinos inside. Some even SAT on them!!
(I forgot to take a picture during preschool, so here's one of my kids with their eggs...of course it was too cool for my older son Tyler not to make one too!!)

The Age of Dinosaurs!!

A year of preschool just isn't complete without a DINOSAUR unit!! The kids have been SOOOO excited learning and exploring the wide world of dinosaurs! Here we made Dino People. We traced each of the kids and then made them into dinosaurs!!
Meet our Herd!!!
Jaxonadon

Align Center
Haydensaurus

Sofiadon

Irisaurus

Audreydactyl

Then we hung them all up in our classroom!! The kids loved seeing their dinosaur-selves up each morning when they came in!! So cute!!

Valentine's Day Cards

We decided to have our own little photo shoot for our Valentine's Day cards!! We put the pictures in the cards and the mother's loved them!! My favorite was how some of the kids colored on the black and white photo...adding just a little bit of their own pizazz!! It was adorable!!

Happy LOVE Day!!

I definitely think that Valentine's Day ranks among the most fun holidays!! Everything pink, red, hearts...and absolutely delicious!! We had all sorts of fun doing a cake walk, making heart hats, and just partying "Love" style!!

Iris even came sporting this absolutely adorable Valentine's Day headband!! Doesn't get much cuter than that!!!

Bags, Bags, Bags

The first half of the year, we tried using folders! Needless to say, that preschoolers and folders don't make the best of combinations. So we decided to go with the adorable (and durable) bags!! They are just the right size for their things, and the kids were so excited!! Then with handprints and a little ribbon...we created something they really LOVED!!

(Our little mascot Rachel may not have gotten a bag...but that doesn't mean she doesn't find her way into the pictures!!)
